Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes permitted and prohibited uses of GARAJI OS and related services operated by GARAJI Systems ("GARAJI", "we", "us"). It applies to all users, including garage operators, staff, fleet managers, parts suppliers, motorists, and visitors.

This AUP supplements our Terms & Conditions. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.

2. Permitted use

You may use GARAJI only for lawful business and personal purposes related to automotive repair, parts sourcing, fleet management, and associated services. Permitted uses include:

  • Operating a garage or workshop using our SaaS tools (job cards, invoicing, inventory, payments)
  • Collecting payments from customers for services you provide, through approved payment channels
  • Buying or selling auto parts through our curated marketplace, where you are an approved participant
  • Managing insurance, fleet, or compliance workflows supported by the platform

3. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
  • Impersonate another person, business, garage, or supplier
  • Engage in unauthorized automated access, scraping, or bulk data extraction
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without permission
  • Process payments for illegal goods, services, or unlicensed activities
  • Circumvent access controls, waitlists, or security measures
  • Use the platform to launder money or circumvent anti-money-laundering controls

4. Garage and payment conduct

Garages using GARAJI payment collection tools must:

  • Provide accurate business and settlement details (e.g. M-Pesa till, paybill, or bank account)
  • Only collect payments for genuine automotive services or sales they provide
  • Complete identity verification (KYC) when requested and keep account information current
  • Not misrepresent prices, job status, or payment amounts to customers
  • Cooperate with refund and dispute processes where applicable

GARAJI facilitates payment collection and settlement on behalf of garages. The garage remains the merchant of record for the underlying service.

5. Marketplace and supplier conduct

Parts suppliers and marketplace participants must:

  • List only genuine auto parts and provide accurate descriptions, pricing, and availability
  • Not list counterfeit, stolen, recalled, or illegal goods
  • Fulfil accepted orders promptly and provide truthful shipping or delivery updates
  • Onboard only through our approved application or invitation process
  • Not attempt to divert buyers off-platform to evade fees or compliance controls

Supplier access is curated. We may suspend or remove suppliers who breach this policy or fail verification.

6. Content and listings

You are responsible for all content you upload, including product listings, garage profiles, job notes, and communications. Content must not be defamatory, misleading, infringing, or harmful. We may remove content that violates this policy or applicable law.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warnings, feature restrictions, payment holds, suspension, or permanent termination. We may report illegal activity to relevant authorities where required by law.

Enforcement decisions are at our reasonable discretion. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond before permanent termination.

8. Reporting violations
